About me
My Story
My greatest gift in life is my family. I am mom to seven children ranging from 24 years old to 5 years old.
My professional breastfeeding journey began in 2010, when after being on maternity leave with my twins, I took a part-time job as a WIC breastfeeding peer counselor. I had been passionate about breastfeeding for 11 years at that point and had breastfed five children. I have experience in exclusively breastfeeding twins and a child with special needs. I believe it is important to continue to educate myself in the field of lactation as well.
It wasn't long into that position that I realized I wanted to do more in the lactation field. Thus began my journey of becoming an IBCLC. I received my bachelors degree in August of 2017. Sat for (and passed) the IBCLC exam in April of 2018.
I firmly believe that your birth experience has a direct affect on your success as a breastfeeding mother which led me to begin my journey to becoming both a birth and postpartum doula. I am a CAPPA trained birth doula. I highly recommend birthing at a birthing center or at home with a trained and licensed team. However, if you chose a hospital birth, having an experienced doula by your side is priceless.
My hobbies include chasing kids, attending any live sporting events, live concerts (especially outdoors in summer), playing volleyball, tennis and reading. We enjoy camping, family road trips, and going to the beach.

Your prenatal care, birth story, and postpartum support are the foundation to your new life as parents. Being able to have someone you trust guide you through the adventure is important.
I believe in listening to what families want, educating and supporting them in their decisions, and focusing on how I can best help them reach their goals.
